Culture Club helps acclimate our international colleagues to life in Germany. This session focuses on the topic of residency in Germany.
Dates: Friday, October 18 Time: 15:00 - 16:00 CET Location: Remote via Zoom
The session will be led by MPI-IS International Office and will feature the following content:
• Differences between residence and citizenship • The process for getting a German residency card (non-permanent) • When and how can one apply for permanent residence – waiting time, German knowledge and other qualifications • Permanent residence permit and citizenship for spouses and children • Other helpful resources and points of contact
The second part of the session will be an interactive Q&A session.
Culture Club is designed to help acclimate international colleagues to our community and get them better acquainted with life in Germany. Relocating to a new country can be challenging; therefore, we thought it would be nice to offer our colleagues and their significant others a way to meet new people, make friends, discuss intercultural topics, learn helpful tips about navigating life in Germany, and make the most of their time in the Tübingen/Stuttgart area. The MPI-IS Culture Club is open to everyone! German nationals who want to meet colleagues and socialize are encouraged to attend. We envision this group as any collective of individuals who enjoy discussing cultural topics and want an opportunity to socialize with peers.
More event details, along with a link to join the session will be shared via our community mailing lists.
