Though the working language of our school is English, we want our Ph.D. scholars to have the best quality of life while living Germany. Therefore, IMPRS-IS offers cost-free German courses to members of our community!
While living in Germany, basic knowledge of German can help one integrate within the local community. Additionally, scholars may wish to present themselves and their work in German.
IMPRS-IS German courses are tailored to abilities and needs of our scholars, and we have worked hard on keeping the group sizes relatively low.
Our German courses are on going. We have courses running now! Classes are twice per week. Community members may have to wait until the start of a new semester to join.
For members of our community interested in the taking these courses, the IMPRS-IS coordination office will send specific information about registration via our IMPRS-IS mailing list. With questions, please contact our coordination office at imprs@is.mpg.de
