This two-day event is designed to bring together members of Germany's Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (MPI-IS) with a large group of faculty and PhD students from Sweden's Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP).
The Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program is Sweden's major national initiative for basic research, education and faculty recruitment on artificial intelligence and autonomous systems acting in collaboration with humans, adapting to their environment through sensors, information and knowledge, and forming intelligent systems-of-systems. The program involves students and faculty at Chalmers University of Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, and Lund University.
Seven professors and fifty-eight PhD students from the first WASP-AI Graduate School class are visiting several research groups in Germany, starting with the MPI-IS. The objective for their visit is to offer their PhD students the possibility to meet and mingle with both junior and senior researchers of the top groups in their research areas, see the respective laboratories, and simply establish a network and broader perspective for their topics in a more intense and consolidated way than might be possible at conferences.
To collaborate with and learn from this distinguished research program, we are holding intermingled scientific talks and poster sessions by both WASP and MPI-IS researchers at MPI-IS Stuttgart on Monday, October 14, and at MPI-IS Tübingen on Tuesday, October 15, as detailed in the program below. Please be sure to register if you plan to attend!
If you are interested in attending any part of this event, and especially if you would like to present a lightning talk and an associated poster, please register before 9:30 on Wednesday, October 9.
We hope to see you at this event!
