The IMPRS-IS coordination office periodically hosts a series of informational meetings, each focused on a different IMPRS-IS related topic. In fall 2021, we're offering these meetings again. The first session in our series will provide a general orientation for new scholars and comprehensive overview of the thesis advisory committee.
At an orientation day, scholars can expect to learn more about IMPRS-IS program requirements. Special attention will be given to the TAC. All IMPRS-IS scholars are required to have a thesis advisory committee (TAC). A TAC approves the Ph.D. project, reviews the progress of the scholar, and advises her or him on further studies and research.
This session will be especially informative for our 2021 generation of scholars. However, all IMPRS-IS scholars are welcome to join. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding your TAC, this meeting will be a good opportunity to discuss these issues in an open forum.
Items we plan to cover in this meeting include:
IMPRS-IS scholars will receive an invitation to this meeting along with a Zoom link to join via email. With questions, please contact Sara Sorce (sara.sorce@tuebingen.mpg.de).
